Dallas County Supervisor
Mark serves as the chair of the Dallas County Board of Supervisors and is a part-time grant administrator for the Iowa Association of Area Agencies on Aging. Mark and his family have lived in Dallas County for almost 16 years. His two sons graduated from Waukee High School, and his wife Tamera grew up in Dallas Center.
Before his election as County Supervisor in January 2005, Mark served as executive director of the Iowa Association of Area Agencies on Aging; vice president of membership, Iowa Association of Business and Industry; and as an account executive of Smith Bucklin. Mark graduated Cum Laude from Minnesota State University, Mankato.
Mark serves on the Board of Directors of the Greater Dallas County Development Alliance, New Opportunities, Inc., Dallas County Historical Society, Metropolitan Planning Organization, and is a member of the Raccoon River Watershed Association and the Raccoon River Valley Trail Association. As a member of the Lutheran Church of Hope, Mark has served as a Kingdom Quest and Hope Kids leader for 12 years.
